🛕 Digha Jagannath Temple – A Spiritual Marvel by the Sea

Inaugurated on April 30, 2025, the Digha Jagannath Temple is a magnificent new temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath, along with Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra. It has quickly become one of the top attractions in the region — both for pilgrims and tourists.

This temple is inspired by the world-famous Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha, and is expected to be one of Bengal’s greatest religious landmarks.

🌊 About Digha – The Seaside Gem of Bengal

Digha is a popular coastal town in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, known for its wide sandy beaches, gentle waves, and stunning sunsets. Often called the “Brighton of the East”, Digha is one of the oldest and most visited beach destinations in Eastern India.

It is a favourite weekend getaway for tourists from Kolkata, Howrah, Kharagpur, and even parts of Odisha and Jharkhand. Apart from the sea, Digha is now in the spotlight for a remarkable new addition — the Jagannath Temple.
